Nothing Is Better Than Winning By Simply Peacefully Protesting

When wars end, peace begins. War and peace cannot coexist, for they are opposite. It follows, therefore, that wars cannot be ended by other wars, or by violent means. That only substitutes a new war for the old one. We know from many revolutions exactly how that works out. The only way for war to end is for it to be replaced by peace, and peaceful protest is the only way to accomplish it.

Right now there are people killing people with robots. The process of institutional murder has been automated to the point that one man can kill as many people in a day as our grandfathers could kill in a week. These people owe no particular allegiance to any one country or system of laws, and their technological advantage means that they cannot be attacked without causing more devastation than any of us could ever possibly want. Make no mistake; any conflict between a civilian population and the military establishment will certainly end with a giant pile of corpses. The only way to end this insane cycle of violence is to convince them to lay down their Predator drones. We the people have no choice but to convince them they are wrong, and the sooner we convince them, the fewer people they kill before they realize they are wrong. We have to change the programming of those who program the drones. The only way to do this is through peaceful, committed, tireless, endless, intelligent, responsive, compassionate protest. Technology has brought us the modern military, the unstoppable force. Only the immovable object of peaceful protest can prevail against it.
